Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
This policy explains what the MerchForm iPhone app ("the app") collects and why. In short: there are no accounts, your designs never leave your phone unless you export them yourself, there are no ads, and nothing is used to track you across other apps or websites.
Your designs and photos
- Designs, artwork, text and photos you use in the app are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded.
- Choosing a photo uses Apple's photo picker, so the app sees only the photos you pick, not your library.
- If you allow it, the app asks for add-only access to Photos so it can save your exports. It cannot read your library with that permission.
- Deleting the app deletes your designs.
Usage analytics
The app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics service, so we can see which features are used and where the app needs to improve. These events include:
- app installs and opens;
- steps of the welcome tour and the answer to "What are you making?";
- which features, garments, finishes and exports are used, and how long an editing session lasts;
- words searched in the artwork library;
- when the upgrade screen is shown and whether a purchase starts, completes or is cancelled.
Events are tied to a random identifier created by the app, not to your name, email or Apple ID. They also include basic technical details such as device model, iOS version, app version and language. As with any internet request, PostHog receives your IP address and may use it to estimate an approximate location such as your country. The app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). Your designs, photos and the text you type on garments are never sent.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or payment details. To check whether you have MerchForm Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history for this app, an anonymous app user ID and basic device information. RevenueCat shares purchase events with our analytics under the same random identifier.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You control this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign in.
- No advertising, and no ad networks in the app.
- No selling or renting of data.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can stop usage analytics at any time: in the app, go to Settings and turn off Share usage data. From then on the app sends nothing to PostHog, and purchases are no longer passed on to analytics. Everything in the app, including Pro, works the same either way.
Because analytics data is anonymous, we cannot link it to you by name. If you want data associated with your device removed, or have any question about this policy, email jamalhas378@gmail.com and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
